Hella Chenin Tasting

Last year’s event was ‘hella’ fun so we are excited to return for the second annual Hella Chenin Fest 2026 on Saturday, May 16, hosted by Hammerling Wines. This one day celebration honors Chenin Blanc, bringing together more than 40 producers from California and South Africa, joined this year by winemakers from Oregon, France, and Australia, to showcase their distinct interpretations of this remarkably versatile grape.

Our Chenin Blanc from The Haven Vineyard remains one of our smallest and most treasured bottlings each year. Sourced from the only vineyard planted to Chenin Blanc on the West Sonoma Coast, it yields a wine defined by intensity, precision, and ageworthiness. We admire Chenin in all its expressions, from steely and vibrant to richly textured and late harvest. Our style leans toward the former: focused, fresh, and mineral driven.

The festival program includes a panel tasting followed by walk around tastings, live music, and food from Bay Area chefs. All proceeds benefit Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights.
